_100WomenStrong is a donor advised fund, formed in 2008, by a group of women who have made a commitment to improve the quality of life for citizens of Loudoun County, Virginia. With a common goal, our group of energized and inspired women connects and collaborates to leverage philanthropic resources for these charitable needs.
Today 100WomenStrong continues to add donor advisors at a rapid pace. Our advisors work in a structured format which identifies them as “members” of this working group. The philanthropic drive of its members, coupled with the financial strength of their donations has allowed 100WomenStrong to give generously as the needs within Loudoun County continue to grow. It is anticipated that 100WomenStrong will quickly reach 100, making the organization the premier philanthropic group for giving within the County in the near future,
_Our Mission The mission
of 100WomenStrong is to enhance the lives of the citizens of Loudoun
County, Virginia. By combining powerful financial strength and a
philanthropic passion for giving, 100WomenStrong provides the funding
necessary to address key issues relating to shelter, health, hunger and
education presently facing the residents of Loudoun County, Virginia.
_How does a “Donor Advised Fund” work? 100WomenStrong is a fund that is maintained and operated by Piedmont Community Foundation, a section 501(c)(3) organization. Once 100WomenStrong makes contributions into the fund, PCF has legal control over it. However, the 100WomenStrong donor advisors, retain advisory privileges with respect to the distribution of funds.
