100WomenStrong is Making Giving Count Loudoun County is among the wealthiest counties in the United States, yet we still have families that are suffering from hunger, homelessness and lack of basic healthcare.
100WomenStrong was created, as a donor advised fund, with Piedmont Community Foundation (PCF), with the idea that those in our community, who are more fortunate, could gather resources to support existing charitable organizations. In doing so, we have made a significant impact, driving positive changes in Loudoun County. |
The mission of 100WomenStrong is to enhance the lives of the citizens of Loudoun County, Virginia. By combining powerful financial strength and a philanthropic passion for giving, 100WomenStrong provides the funding necessary to address key issues relating to shelter, health, hunger and education, that are presently facing the residents of Loudoun County, Virginia.

Homeless Youth In Loudoun County
By Ree McDermott, 100WS Donor-Advisor Touted as one of the richest counties in the country, it is easy to assume that Loudoun's youth have secure housing situations. Yet during the 2011-2012 school year Loudoun County Public Schools identified 785 children and youth as homeless or “precariously housed.” That number has tripled since the 2008-2009 school year. It is likely there are many more precariously housed and at risk youth living in Loudoun County who have not yet been identified. Read more. |
