COVID-19 Grants
Like many organizations that have changed the way they do business in a COVID-19 world, 100WomenStrong has altered our giving strategies for 2020. We are thrilled that we were able to support some of our most vulnerable community residents through the incredible work of our nonprofit partners. The grants were given in rounds this year, starting April 2020. The funds were distributed as follows:
Round One, April 2020
- Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington (Leesburg office) – $15,000
- Dulles South Food Pantry – $10,000
- Good Shepherd Alliance – $7,000
- HealthWorks for Northern Virginia – $10,000
- Loudoun Free Clinic – $5,000
- Loudoun Hunger Relief – $10,000
- Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers – $7,500
- Loudoun Homeless Services Center (Volunteers of America of the Chesapeake &Carolinas) – $5,000
- Up to $50,000 also was allocated for the purchase of personal protection equipment (PPEs) for area volunteer firefighters and EMTs.
